Hi guys,

So I haven't posted on here for ages! What has happened to me? Lots of work, I guess. Oops. Well in that time I've been doing a bit of reading, and managed to finish these books:

-Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth: 4/5 stars

-When We Collided by Emery Lord: 2.5/5 stars

-Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley: 5/5 stars (because let's face it, that book is incredible and I got so many emotions and GAH. Here's my review here!)

-We Are All Made of Molecules by Susin Nielsen: 2.5/5 stars

-Stargazing For Beginners by Jenny McLachlan: 3.5/5 stars

-The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot: 5/5 stars (loved this, so funny!)

...But I found a winner, and quite possibly my new favourite book series.

Drum roll please...

The main character, Mare Barrow, lives in a world where people are categorised and judged based on their blood types - Red or Silver. Silvers have unique abilities, and Reds are without powers of their own, so in this society Silvers dominate while Reds live in poverty. But - and here's the cool part - Mare is a Red, but she possesses an ability of her own - something that no one has seen before. But what are the consequences of being different in this world?

So here are my thoughts:

-Mare is the most incredible protagonist of ever! Like seriously. A badass imperfect sassy unique heroine? COUNT ME IN.

-All the characters were amazing. And I'm not even going to hide the fact that my favourite character was Cal. I LOVED HIM SO MUCH. And him and Mare are absolutely perfect together and all my fangirlness (is that a word? It should be) in the world goes to them so that they can get a happy ever after but... somehow I doubt that's going to happen!?

I mean what with the plot twist in the end that KILLED ME:

Like honestly... that ending tho...

So true.

-And there is a love triangle (or was it more like a love square!? Idk) but it wasn't a bad one at all, as in it really made sense. It made me tear up at one point because FEEELS.

Also by the way, I'm totally #TEAMCAL. Go away, Maven. No one likes you. Booo.

I kind of felt sorry for Kilorn though?!? Because it was kind of obvious that he liked Mare, but she likes Cal, so BACK OFF. DON'T RUIN MY OTP. DON'T YOU DARE. :)

There is a possibility that I might be crazy.

So I'm nearly finished reading King's Cage (the third book in the series) at this time, and the series is absolutely amazing! Also I might be meeting Victoria Aveyard when she comes on tour for War Storm (the final book!!) which would be incredible! I'm so excited!

If you like YA books with fantasy themes (or if you don't, which is me, you'll like it anyway, I'm sure!) you'll love this book. I really recommend that you try it out, because it is just so GOOD.

When I finish King's Cage, I promise to tell you all of my thoughts! And I promise to be more active on this blog considering I haven't posted in like 2 months!?!?

Byeeeee!
