I read this book about a week or two ago and I have to say, I absolutely loved it. This is an absolutely incredible book that is heart-warming and heart-breaking. I'm serious when I say I literally could not put this down. It was really relatable too, and I felt like I was actually Rosalind, the main character. I empathised with her, and I could feel all of her thoughts and emotions, and I really understood everything that she was going through. I seriously congratulate Tamsin Winter on her debut novel, because I have no more words to say other than that it was EPIC and one of the best books I have ever read. Ever. So yeah, this is totally worth reading!

So basically if you want a bit of information before reading this, here is a synopsis. Rosalind Banks, an 11-year-old student in Manor High School, has Selective Mutism (SM). She can only talk naturally to those who are either her direct family or people who she feels comfortable with. When she changes schools to Manor High, she finds that this school is a hot spot for bullies. Of course, Rosalind can't defend herself, because she couldn’t speak to her bullies to tell them to stop bullying her, so she instead creates a blog called Miss Nobody: Exposing Bullying in Manor High – a place for her to be more than just invisible. A way to help not only herself, but all the other 'nobodies' at Manor High. But what happens when she finds that she might start to be bullying people herself? Exciting, I know!
This but it particularly great because it just goes to show how powerful someone’s actions can be, and how if you strongly believe that something must change, you have to stand up for what you believe in and change it yourself. Go and read this if you love contemporary young adult novels. My recommendation: 11+.
That's my post for today!
Peace out!
